看来布妈是高兴地太早了.到幼儿园的新鲜劲儿过去后,小布从第三天开始不愿意去上学了。问她为什么，答曰：“妈妈不在，我就不愿意在幼儿园。”

好容易将她哄到幼儿园，教室里还是哭声一片，甚至比第一天还厉害，有的孩子本来没哭，可看到其他小朋友哭天喊地后便也开始大哭。有的坐在座位上哭，有的围着堵在门口的老师哭喊想要逃出升天。一个大胖小子在门口拽劲儿地要回家，可怜的老师一个人完全拖不住，布妈赶紧上去帮忙，那小子可真是沉啊，我们两个大人要抱住他都很吃力。看来幼儿园老师可真不是个什么人都能干的活儿，要会唱歌跳舞，有爱心，有耐心，懂得孩子的心理，会梳辫子...还得要体力！！！  

小布可能知道妈妈随时会溜，粘在我身上不愿意下来。陪她坐了半个小时左右，看到阿姨端了稀饭过来，我随便说了句：“要吃早餐啰！”。小布听到这句话，好象知道妈妈要走了，立马眼睛红了起来，又爬到我腿上坐着。这时听到阿姨对另一个家长说：“其实你把他一送来就走，他哭一会儿马上就好了，老在这里陪着他老有期望，就更难放手。”我想想也是，于是狠下心来对小布说，“妈妈下午第一个来接你啊！你乖点哦！”这次和前两天不同，看到妈妈要走，小布立刻巨伤心。一瞬间没哭出来，小脸儿都憋青了，过了半天才在老师怀里抢天呼地地挣扎起来。我狠心地头也不回地走出了教室，鼻子酸酸的，生怕回头会让女儿看到我也湿润了的眼眶。  

回到家后给老师发了个短信问小布是否还在哭，老师说没有了，正在吃早餐，让我放心。也不知道是真的，还是善意的谎言。完全无法想象老师们如何能在那么短的时间内让所有的孩子都停止哭闹开始吃早餐呢......

看来从今天开始布妈和小布对于上幼儿园的抵抗战才刚刚开始。这样的情况不知道会持续多久。但愿女儿能很快适应。

今天是一个值得纪念的日子.小布乖乖上幼儿园了!

Today is a day to remember!It's Jade's first day at the kindergarten.

虽然在暑期考察了好几个幼儿园,我们最终还是选择了离家最近的小博士艺术园。虽说硬件条件不是太好，园区和教室都有点“破败”的样子（不知道是不是暑期第一天的原因，教室和院子里都感觉灰卜卜的，大家在照片的背景里应该可以看得出来）不是想象中的窗明几净。不过听几位家长反映这里对学生的智育抓得比较紧，而且个人感觉从门卫老大爷，厨房阿姨到老师和园长都挺亲切、负责，还有很重要的一点就是接送方便。希望小布能够喜欢这里。  

Though we have looked into quite a few kindies during the summer vacation, we finally chose this one.It doesn't look as nice as others,kind of broken down actually.But from some of the parents who sent their kids here,I found out that this kindy has a very good educational program and all the people here,from the doorkeeper to the teachers to the principle,are quite nice and pleasant.Another very important reason for us to choose this one is that it's the closest one to where we live,only 5-7 mins on foot.Hope Jade will like it here.

早上６点半闹钟一响，小布就一咕噜从床上弹起来，然后直奔门口的鞋柜穿鞋，边穿还边说：“我们不能迟到了，迟到了老师和其他小朋友会笑话我的！”　（这是我昨天晚上叮嘱她的话，被她记住了！呵呵）穿好了鞋，自己就要开门，说：“走吧！我们上幼儿园去吧！”  布妈只好把她拽回来，洗脸，刷牙，换衣服，吃早餐，然后才出门。

As soon as the alarm clock went off at six thirty this morning,Jade bounced out of the bed and ran straight towards the shoe cabinet at the doorway.She said:"I can't be late today.The teacher and other kids will laugh at me if I am late!" while putting on her shoes all by herself.After that,she tried open the door and said " Let's go!Let's go to kindy!"   I had to drag her back to the bathroom,washed her face,brushed her teeth,combed her hair,changed her dress ,had breakfast,then finally got ready to go.

来到幼儿园，首先去园长室补交学费（报名时只交了一部分）。园长正忙着数钞票开发票呢，小布突然跑到她面前大声说：“老师！我叫小布！”可怜的园长！估计得重数了！  

The fist thing we needed to do is to pay for the fees at the admin office.The principle was concentrating counting the money while Jade ran towards her and yelled out:" Hello!Miss!My name is Jade!" Poor Principle,wish she didn't have to recount all the money!

还没走到教室，就听到哭声一片。有的孩子拽着家人哭得稀里花啦不让走；有的家长一狠心先走了，孩子让老师抱着，同样也哭得惨不忍睹的。小布可是大不同，一到教室就被桌上的五颜六色的玩具吸引了，立马动手玩了起来！（她心里一定想着：“你们就哭吧！没人和我抢玩具玩了！”哈）

We heard some loud yell and scream even before we walked into the classroom.Apparently,some kids didn't like the fact that they were going to be 'left alone' by their parents at a strange place.Jade wasn't upset at all.As soon as she walked in,she set her eyes on a box of toys on the desk and started to play.

 玩了一会儿玩具,腻了。走到老师面前说：“老师，我想看书！”老师正忙着哄一个大哭着的宝宝呢，还没来得及回答她，就见小布自己疾步走到放书包的地方，熟练地从柜子上拿下自己的书包，打开书包拿出她最喜欢的《找不同》，关上书包，掂着脚把书包放回柜子上。看着这一连串的动作，连布妈都惊叹这孩子好像突然又长大了许多。等小布把书拿回座位，老师也拿出了一厚叠书，小布马上又喜新厌旧，一头扎进新书堆里看了起来，全然不顾周围哭声震天的环境。

过了大概半小时，布妈好容易鼓起勇气说：“小布，你自己在这里和老师和小朋友玩。妈妈等会儿下午来接你啊！”，生怕她象其他孩子一样开始大哭不让我走。可是小布抬起头来，看着我，镇定自若地说：“　好吧。你走吧！”俨然一副小大人的样子。  于是布妈真的走了，而小布也真的没有哭，还是坐在那里静静地看书。

After about half an hour,I finally decided to say good bye to her.I said:"You stay here,play with the teacher and the other kids,okay? Mum will come back to pick you up in the afternoon!",worrying that she would start to hang on to my leg and yell and scream like other kids.But she didn't .She looked at me and said :" I am okay.You can go now."The way she looked at me and said it was so...peaceful and mature.Then I did leave,and she did not cry.She was just sitting there quietly,reading her book.

一个多小时后，布妈回到幼儿园去给老师送小布饭前要吃的感冒药，偷偷地在窗外看了看，看到的下面这幅画面：

心中感叹油然而生，“小布你真的长大了！妈妈为你骄傲！”

下午四点半，布妈怀着惴惴不安的心情来到幼儿园，想象她会不会扑到我怀里痛哭。从窗外看到老师正抱着小布，好像在给小朋友们讲故事。看到妈妈后，小布好象有点怯生生地走了过来，很乖很乖地牵着妈妈的手和老师再见，完全不是布妈想象的。从幼儿园到超市到家，小布都是很乖很安静地样子，乖得让人感觉有点木纳的样子。怎么会这样呢？难道在幼儿园不开心么？可是问她幼儿园好不好玩，答曰好玩；问明天还去不去上幼儿园，答曰去。而且据老师说她只是在中午睡觉的时候小哭了一阵，吃饭，吃药都很乖，还和老师在小朋友面前跳了舞呢！老师还给小布扎了个漂亮的新发型！

这本应是一个非常私人的话题.不过既然当初开博的目的就是为了记录下小布成长的点点滴滴,所以觉得在此还是应该聊聊这不雅之事儿.不记得从什么时候开始,拉臭臭成为了小布生活中最痛苦的事情.小丫头完全拒绝拉臭臭.估计这和她平时不爱吃蔬菜水果关系很大.这点儿随她爹.呵呵.

Anyway, since she came back from her holiday in Yichang, I decided to do something about her diet.Cut off most of the snacks...chips,chocolates,icecreams...etc; Add a lot of grains such as beans,corn flakes,wholewheat,into the rice;try to make her eat a little sweet corn or leafy veggy every day...The outcome is not very obvious yet.But I guess it takes time.

自从这次从宜昌回来,布妈就决定要改变丫头的饮食.第一杜绝垃圾零食,如薯片,巧克力,冰激凌啊什么的(酸奶,山楂片啊什么的还是未断);第二,以杂粮饭代替白米饭,小布不爱吃稀饭,所以只能在煮干饭的时候用玉米渣子,豆类等加到米里;第三,争取每天让她吃个玉米,或部分绿叶蔬菜...到目前为主收效甚微.估计还得坚持一段时间才能看到成效.

We signed her up for the nearest kinder garten today.I heard that the teachers are really good at sorting out all kinds of kids problems.Hope they could help.Also,I guess they would put a lot of veggy in the kids diet since veggies are much cheaper than meat...:)  

今天终于决定去离家近的那个私立幼儿园去报了名.听说幼儿园老师对待孩子们的问题都有高招,希望他们能解决小布这个臭臭老大难问题.在回来的路上碰到一个孩子刚从该园毕业的家长,说那里还行,学习抓得比较紧,就是伙食差了点儿.我顺便去厨房看了看,发现师傅们都在剁着大白菜,小白菜,圆白菜啊什么的,不知道的还以为是喂兔子的呢...呵..不过想想也好,这不正好解决了小布不吃蔬菜的问题嘛.呵呵

好久没来博客了.奥运宝宝的投票都已经结束了,感谢各位给小布投票的哥哥姐姐弟弟妹妹叔叔阿姨大伯大妈妈爷爷奶奶...  虽然我们没获奖,可是重在参与,对吧?!  而且布妈实在不是一个尽职尽责的啦啦队长,没有尽全力去帮小布拉票,在这里布妈严重道歉!  看来以后这种完全评拉票来评选结果的比赛,我们还是少参加为妙了!

暑假已经过了一大半.这一个多月的时间了,大部分时间都是在家里和奇乐园里度过的,还回了一趟宜昌,见了一些亲朋好友,大家都夸小布越长越漂亮,然后就接着对布妈说:"你越来越象你妈了";有的说你越来越象你爸了"( 这两句话的实际意思都是:" 你怎么发福了?" )有的干脆就直接语重心长地说:" 你怎么这么早就发福了? 这可不行啊!要注意啊!!!!" ...       当时就立下决心要开始减肥,不过一看到美食,什么决心理想都丢到脑后了...没办法,就这么点儿爱好,爱美食,没有美食的人生该有多么无趣啊?!

TO BE OR NOT TO BE.目前要严肃考虑的是两个问题:

1.小布九月份是否该上幼儿园的问题.布妈比较倾向于"上".理由如下:

a. 九月份小布就有2岁8个月了.有人建议我们大一点再上幼儿园,说孩子三岁前去幼儿园容易生病.可是布妈也听说所有孩子刚上幼儿园都比较容易生病,因为幼儿园的老师自然不如自己家里人照顾得仔细周到.如果等到明年初插班进去就比人家少读了半年,习惯可能不如别人.而且其他小朋友都已经三三两两地结伴了.小小年纪的小布,就得面对如何融入别人的圈子这样复杂的社会问题,是不是有点残忍呢?

b.小布目前的生活不太规律,早上不愿醒,晚上不愿睡,该吃饭时不吃饭,不该吃饭时又嚷饿.幼儿园的生活比较规律,可以让孩子在集体中学会很多家里不可能学到的东西.特别是可以让孩子明白这个世界不是绕着她转的,不可能她想怎么就怎么样,应该对小布目前渐长的"小公主" 的脾气有所控制.

可是布妈还是担心小布是不是能适应幼儿园的生活,老师能否照顾好她,是不是真的会很容易生病......

2.如果上,上哪个幼儿园的问题.目前有两个选择:

a.华科大幼儿园(公立)

优点: 位于大学校园内,硬件条件好;离姥姥姥爷家比较近,步行接送;老师有带外国小朋友和混血孩子的经历.

缺点: 布妈接送不方便,估计小布还得象上两学期一样,平时呆姥姥姥爷家,周末布妈才能接她回家;据说那里的老师不教什么东西,主要是带孩子玩(这点也不知道是优点还是缺点);附属幼儿园主要针对内部子弟,对于我们外来人员费用相对较高.

师资力量未知.

b.小博士艺术幼儿园(私立)

优点: 离布爸布妈家近,布妈可以步行接送,幼儿园接送孩子的专车每天也可以到姥姥姥爷家接送,这样一来小布去两家都比较方便;据说此幼儿园着重培养孩子的艺术修养,并且是珠心算培养基地;费用相对较低.

缺点: 孩子太小,坐园车是否存在不安全因素;老师可能没有带外国小朋友和混血孩子的经历,小布在那里有可能会有特殊感或孤立感;硬件条件不如华科大.

师资力量未知.

布妈对幼儿园的选择完全是一头雾水,关于这两个幼儿园的优劣也是道听途说,初入园需注意哪些问题.请有经验的前辈指点迷津,如果知道洪山区关山口至荣军医院附近有比较好的幼儿园也请推荐一下.先谢谢了!

武汉植物园 Wuhan Botanic Park

那天(不记得是哪天了....呵呵)和我们一家陪小布爷爷奶奶去了植物园.本来是要去东湖植物园,结果出租车司机弄错了,把我们带到了武汉植物园.虽说布妈在武汉这么多年,可这还是第一次来武汉植物园,这才知道武汉还有这样一块幽静的世外桃源.强烈推荐!!

布妈生日

坐出租时听到收音机里说英国科学家通过公式算出6月20日是今年最快乐的日子.不知道他是怎么算出来了,也不知道别人这天是否快乐,反正布妈是满快乐了,因为这天正好是布妈生日.(多少岁就不说了,想起这个问题倒是快乐不起来了.呵呵)

小布姥姥姥爷,爷爷奶奶,爸爸和小布都出席了妈妈在生日"宴会".我们一大家人浩浩荡荡去了群光广场的金色池塘吃自助.说到这里,还是要给金色池塘餐厅提个意见的,1米不到的孩子竟然还要收半价39元.我们小布唯一爱吃的就是ICECREAM,另外吃了几根薯条和小蛋糕.太不划算了!决定以后改去巴犀烧烤了!

6月22日是丹丹姨大喜的日子,小布和小布的豆豆表哥应邀做了小花童.因为涉及到肖像权问题,这里先上传几张小布的片片,等到布妈明天征求了豆豆妈妈和丹姨意见后再上传更多大小金童玉女们的照片吧.  

  It has been another one and half month since I last updated Jade's blog...(Shame on you,Anna!  )

So many things happened...Where to start?(See...that's the problem when you don't do your job in time...the job just becomes bigger and bigger...) I'd better make a list.

1.Bruce's Birthday Party

13,April was Bruce's birthday.We held a small birthday party for him.Apart from three of us, Pam and Fred,my parents and Colin (a friend of Bruce's)joined the party.The birthday cake I made this time was quite a success. I still haven't got hang of icing the cake,but at least it tastes nice this time. YUM YUM!  

You could tell how happy the birthday boy is from the big smile on his face,couldn't you?

 Jade was really into wearing the "big people's "shoes.In 10 mintutes, she put on 4 pairs of different shoes and walked around the room.Clunk!Clunk!

2.Mother's Day

I cooked western food on Bruce's birthday,so this time we've got some Chinese dishes for a change.Each 'mother' ---- Bruce's mother,my mother and I ,got a big bunch of flowers.  

3.Potty training

The potty training issue I had worried about for so long has finally be solved.The whole thing started when Jade saw a little girl doing a peepee  under a tree in front of the building where my parents live.She was so fasinated by that and ran towards the tree next to it and took off her panties and did a pee as well.For about a week,she only does her business under that particular tree!  The good thing is that this incident made her say good bye to the nappies and now she starts accept the potty in the bathroom  instead of the tree.

4. 512 Earthquake

upon seeing the terrible earthquake scence on TV,my dad ,Jade's grandpa said:" Look at those poor people in Sichuan!Tomorrow I am going to donate some money and blood to them."Jade said  :" I want to donate some money as well!"

Grandpa:"Really?!How much would you like to donate?"

Jade:" I ...I want to donate BIG money.I want to be like the policemen...putting the envelop in the box..."

Grandpa:"How much is 'BIG' money"?

Jade:"I...I want to donate 200 Yuan."

5.Olympic Torch Relay

It was an exciting day for every Chinese in Wuhan. I bought 3 Tshirts with olympic symbols on, 3 Chinese National flags and some stickers the day before and we got up at 5:30 in the morning of 31,May and then went out to see the Olympic Torch Relay .There were sooooooooo many people on the street.We have waited for more than 40 minutes ...couldn't get on any bus or cab...then went around the corner and had some breakfast and went home at last...Well...at least we tried!

This last one is taken when Jade got her first rain coat and rain boots.But there was no rain..so I took her to the bathroom to try it out!  

Yesterday,we went to the airport to pick up Aussie Grandpa and Grandma.It was the first time for Jade to meet her Aussie Grandparents.She yelled: "Aussie Grandma and Grandpa have jumped out of the computer!"   She was a bit shy at first,but didn't refuse to be held by them and kept smiling.Guess she will be spoiled for the next three months.  I forgot to take the camera ,so I just took some pics with my phone.(will load up some more from Fred's camera later.)

Today on the way to Pam's,first we walked past a grocer's,Jade yelled:" Lolli pops!There they are again!I LOVE lollipops!" then when we walked past a bank,she said:" This is a bank!When I grow up,I will work in a bank and make lots and lots of money,so that I can buy lots and lots of lollipops!"    How ambitious! "To buy lots and lots of lollipops!" This is little Jade's first greatest ambition for the future!  

今天去奶奶家先是路过一张商店,小布说:"棒棒糖!我又看到棒棒糖了!我最喜欢棒棒糖了!"而后路过银行,又说:"这是银行!我以后长大也要到银行上班!挣好多好多的钱!我就可以买好多好多棒棒糖了!知道么?"  这孩子可真有出息啊!"买好多好多棒棒糖"----这大概是小布乖乖目前最宏伟的目标了!  

现在唯一困惑布妈的就是小丫头这个纸尿裤的问题了。因为布爸反对端尿和穿开裆裤，所以从出生到现在不论严寒酷暑，小布一直是纸尿裤的忠实用户。为了这布妈不知受到了多少质疑和批判。可布妈也一直认为让孩子穿着开裆裤即不卫生又不文明，而且可能是因为一直用的是好奇的尿裤，小布也几乎没出现红屁屁的现象。可是最近布妈对小布的尿裤情节开始发愁了。虽然接连数月地训练小布每天早上起来第一件事就坐马桶，可是似乎没有什么成效。她可以在马桶上坐上40分钟都无任何“结果”，一穿上裤子就“大水冲了龙王庙”。更恼火的是每次要“大大”时从不报警，宁愿把一包“黄金”在纸尿裤里压成“饼”，也坚决不承认。可能是因为心理上抗拒如厕训练，原来没训练做马桶时还是一天一次“大大”挺规律的，现在反而有时两三天一次，有时一天两次毫无规律可寻了。这样一来下去，不知道要到何时才能告别尿裤，何时才能上幼儿园啊？！

另外还有一个让人发愁的问题就是吃饭了。这点小布和布爸太相似了，完全不吃蔬菜。爱吃白饭，白馒头，有时也爱吃肉，可就是不吃蔬菜不喝粥。变着法儿做成菜粥，菜泥，菜丸子都逃不过她“精明”的舌头，统统“过滤”出来。

有经验的妈妈可不可以给布妈点建议？求救！求救！
